GATCHAMAN
A world in chaos, an alien evil.
A lone warrior is found,
Earth's last hope
Five shall rise!
This definitely looks like an hyper-boosted version of Gatchman! I love it! :)
The Gatchaman Team has been unveiled thanks to neopunch. A picture coming from an Imagi sell-sheet for the Gatchaman licensing company has leaked online. This new Gatchman picture and the poster look somewhat alike, so we are incline to think it is legit. (Click on the picture to enlarge it)
There is no denying that the team looks much sxier than in the 1970s Japanese animated cartoon: (Click on the picture to enlarge it.) The new look of the Gatchaman is reminds the nolanesque impact had Batman Begins and teh Dark knight on the Batman franchise. I bet that the movie Gatchaman is gonna be a real worldwide success! :)
Gatchaman, aka Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, was originally a Japanese animated series created in the 1970's. The series was centered around five young superhero ninja working under the guide of Dr. Kozaburo Nambu of the 'International Science Organization' to oppose a group of technologically advanced villains, known as Galactor, from trying to take control of the earth's natural resources. Gatchaman is better known in the USA under the title 'Battle of the Planets' or 'G-Force'.
Hong-Kong-based Imagi Animation Studios have decided to revamp the franchise and to make a brand new CGI movie.
Here below the first official Gatchaman teaser trailer:
Plot: "Set in a future world grappling with environmental and technological issues, the story focuses on five reluctant heroes whose remarkable genetic code makes them Earth's only hope of defeating extra-terrestrial invaders." (Source: Imagi Animation Studios)
This movie adaptation of Gatchaman looks rather promising judging from this 10-second clip: at least it looks much better than the latest TMNT movie by Imagi...
I wonder if the voice command used by the superheroes team will be 'Bird Go!' as in the original series. :)
Here below the first official poster of Gatchman, upcoming CGI animated movie by Imagi Animation Studios adapted from the famous manga franchise: (Click on the poster to enlarge it.)
GATCHAMAN
A new Gatchaman movie poster has been spotted: (Click on the poster to enlarge it.) It's a bird flock, it's an airplane squadron: No! It's Gatchaman! :)
In case you forgot what the original Gatchaman Japanese animated series look like, have a look to the original opening of the TV show below:
Gatchman was quite in advance on its time, but let's hope they will update this Gatchaman song... The soundtrack of the Gatchman movie should be much better than this cheesy song! :)

We have an early look to what the Gatchaman team will look like thanks to neopunch who got their hands on an Imagi sell-sheet for the Gatchaman licensing company: (Click on the picture to enlarge it.)
